Who Doesn't Love a Juicy Bit of Gossip?

Its almost the end of August which means summer is slowly drawing to an end.

But the best bit about the end of summer is a whole new bevy of beauties that make up the Autumn/Winter Collections.

A big one that I'm totally loving for this Fall is the Gossip Girl Look. Think Love Story, think Preppy, think Sexy Student...think Blair and Serena.

Blair's look is more uber preppy pulled together sophisticated socialite.

Serena's look is more relaxed, yet pulled together and relaxed moneyed socialite.

Not a huge difference in the descriptions but a huge difference in how they look...so without further ado....here's my pick of the best outfits from Season 1 of Gossip Girl.

Here we have two girls rocking their quintessential looks. Serena on the left is wearing a Nanette Leopore jumper with a French Toast skirt and a Botkier bag. Blair, on the right, is wearing a Dolce & Gabbana jacket, with a GoldenBleu bag.

Serena on the left in a Neesa tshirt with Wrangler jeans and a vintage waistcoat. Blair in a Milly dress.

I mean really, who's allowed to go to school looking this good. Well, the Upper East Side is no place for a slouch in the fashion department. Here Serena rocks some Chinese Laundry boots with a Magaschoni cashmere vest.

Serena looking a little grown up in a Christian Cota capelet with an Alexander Wang tank and what must surely be her mother's Chanel bag.

Blair looking cute as a button in a Colette Dinnigan dress.

She gets it from her mama...Serena' mother Lily looking fabulous in Alberta Ferretti.

Quintessential Blair Waldorf in an Alice + Olivia shirt, Autumn Cashmere jumper and Claires Accessories Headband.

Love this Blumarine dress on Serena.

Vanessa looking a little more Brooklyn I guess in an H&M jumper, Truly Madly Deeply shirt and Forever 21 bangle.

Isabel (yes I had to google her name, even though I watched the entire season I really don't remember anybody saying her name)...anyway, ex-model, looking fab in a Magaschoni coat, Kenneth Jay Lane necklace and a very grown up Salvatore Ferragamo bag.

Little Jenny Humprey, who turned out to be quite a force to be reckoned with, in a Valentino coat, Valentino bag and Moschino shoes. Cute.

Jenny again in a Stacy Lapidus headband (if you're a headband fan, she does the best ones in the business). Michael Kors trench and Foley & Corinna bag.

And while we're on the topic of yellow, I absolutely loved Serena's yellow Ralph Lauren dress.

Kati in a Tocca coat and Steve Madden bag.

Blair, the damsel in distress in a rather fetching Valentino gown.

The boys certainly don't let down the side in the style stakes. Chuck, the best bad boy on TV right now, looking like a Dapper Don as usual.

Such a cute outfit. Trina Turk cape, Marc Jacobs dress and Forever 21 tights. Patterned tights look set to be huge for Autumn/Winter this year so dip your toe in that pond with a cheap and cheerful pair.

A fabulous picture of Blair's crew. Love the candy coloured outfits.

And yes, I just did a double post as I'm taking a few days off to enjoy the end of summer!

I love gossip girl and i defo agree that the wardrobe is really hot! I don't know why, but whenever i'm watching this show (and also the hills), by the end of the episode i realise that i've done my nails, straightened my hair! lol! It's always what inspires me when i'm in a style rut.

@drops of glamour....that's too funny. But there's nothing like looking at a bevy of beauties from Hollywood or the Upper East Side to inspire some serious grooming!

Ok so the xoxo thing at the start of each show annoys me. But other than that, I enjoy 'Gossip Girl' a lot, it's very entertaining - I love your choices in this piece,I really loved Serena in the Blumarine dress and Blair in the Dinnigan dress too.
