I just got a reader request for help finding THAT belt worn by Carrie in SATC the Movie.
The styling in the film and that belt in particular was such a big hit, every sharp designer and retailer and their mama has jumped on this bandwagon. The pro being lots of choice, the con being lots of choice.
So, I've hunted and gathered the best belts I could find. Let me know your thoughts.
And if you're feeling very inspired by Sex & The City Style, make sure you take a look at my previous posts.

I See You Baby
As another week draws to a close, I've had my eagle eye on the pictures of our favourite women papped out and about looking fabulous.
I See You Baby....
The Hills are alive with the sound of bitching. The most scripted reality show that we love to hate is back on TV and all the girls are on top form. Love this look on Whitney Port. A more polished ensemble than normal, in her Yigal Azrouel skirt with a basic James Perse tank and Prada purse.
My favourite quirky grungy kid. She has perfected the art peddled by the likes of Urban Outfitters of the expensive tramp. She's looking a lot more polished than normal in this supersexy (i.e. hot for the next season) The Row leather skirt, falke patterned tights and laidback grey tshirt that looks decidedly like Elizabeth and James (FYI - The Row is Ashley's baby and Elizabeth & James is Mary Kate's)
So simple yet so damn sexy. Blake Lively shows us the perfect easy peasy weekend laidback look. The boots are from nine West so very affordable, vest is from Diane Von Furstenberg (if you're going to pay proper moolah for proper clothes she's one of my favourites), jeans are Rich & Skinny.
Gossip Girl star at one of the many parties to launch the new season. Looking very vixenish with her straight her and the Alice & Olivia dress. Almost didn't recognise her for a minute! (She's Vanessa)
Jill Marie Jones, most famous for being the humorously obnoxious Toni Childs on Girlfriends. Interesting outfit.
Kate Walsh looking f.a.b.o.u.l.o.u.s. in this glam Jenny Packham number.
I'm a Lauren Conrad fan. Make that money girl! Here she is looking daytime fab with a very large, very very nice, never goes out of style Balenciaga.
Riri, my favourite little pop tart. Shopping out and about in LA. Love the way she's got that belt slung low over the shirt.
Lucy Liu always looks hot, and here she is looking hot in Balenciaga. After Cashmere Mafia got cancelled she speedily got herself a sexy new role on Dirty, Sexy, Money. Nice work.
Certainly not a dress for a windy afternoon but Thandie pulls off this white Jasmine Di Milo gown with Casadei sandals and Lara Bohinc earrings. Nice.
Vicky B's been laying a little low of late. Wonder if she has the energy to do another version of that NY fashion week parade she did last time. Anyway here she is in a Giambattista Valli dress at the launch of the new dVb fragrance in Manchester. What's with the wings though?
The hard hitting A-Listers pulled out all the fashion stops at the Venice Film Festival. Charlize promoted her film The Burning Plain, rocking the hell out of that complicated looking Versace frock.
Claudia putting the bomb in bombshell in this fabulous grey chiffon Alberta Ferretti gown at the Venice Film festival.
Anne Hathaway looking pretty damn good in Lela Rose at a Venice Film Festival press event for her latest film, Rachel Getting Married.
Diane Kruger was ready for her closeup when she announced her latest film role at the Jaeger-LeCoultre Gala dinner during the Venice Film Festival. The leading lady wore a sheer haute couture dress by Dior and gave herself a lift in Valentino heels.

Everybody Loves Good Head...
Another day in the life of Tiger Bites and another provocative attention grabbing headline.
Inspired by the launch of the new collections at NY Fashion Week this weekend, I've unearthed one of the hot new big trends for the next season.
Stylish headgear.
Its very gossip girl (trademark accessory for Blair Waldorf) and I think for the most part the more ornate the more suited to weddings the headgear looks. But worn well, some of these pieces can look rather fabulous.
AND they're the ultimate crappy hair day saver. If your hair won't behave, needs a wash, needs a retouch...grab a bit of good head (gear).
Share your thoughts.
BIG, BOLD & BEAUTIFUL
These two adorable little mini chapeaus go by the far more proper name of pillboxes. Now you know.
On the left we have a surprisingly sexy red little number from Accessorize £22. This would look positively attention grabbingly vixenish worn to a wedding.
www.monsoon.co.uk.
On the right we have a big red bow with a veil from Claudette Chapeau now available on www.asos.com for £16. Incidentally I remember this woman started in Portobello about 10 years ago, a good friend was obsessed with her hats so we spent a lot of time at her stall. Great to see the hard work has paid off by being sold at one of the biggest retailers in the UK.
Put a feather in your cap with this cute layered feather headband from www.forever21.com. This could work well during the day with a summer dress or jeans. And at $9 its so easy to experiment with.
On the right the coral feather butterfly is from Tasha and is available at www.nordstrom.com. Its on sale right now, down from $48 to $24. I love the way it looks, not sure if I'd wear it though. My hair's kinda short and I think this would look better with long hair. Again, its very garden party, summer wedding style but tres cute all the same.
You'll always come up smelling of roses with this huge stonking rose clasped to your head. Again, looks like it would be fabulous worn to a wedding or summer garden party. From fab new designer Cara NY.
On the right we have another cheap and cheerful number from www.forever21.com. The black leather makes it a more muted and sophisticated choice..and at $4, who's complaining?
Sit pretty with flowers in your hair. Both of these are budget friendly options from www.forever21.com. The one on the left would work better for women with slightly shorter hair and is $7. The purple one on the right would look fab with long locks and is $4.
RICH & SKINNY
The thinner varieties of the group are much easier to work with on a regular basis. Go for laidback casual with a pop of bright colour like the red one from H&M.
And you can wear it Navajo style like the double braided version from www.urbanoutfitters.co.uk for £7.
It can look decidedly sophisticated as well as you can see with this subtle Zebra print patent leather headband from Tasha. Available at www.nordstrom.com for $38.
On the right, again from Tasha ($42), this bold green double band is finished off with a very cute diamante stone. Love this look. www.nordstrom.com.
On the left we have a more glam member of the skinny crew, Tasha is the reigning queen of the new season's headgear and this is available from www.nordstrom.com for $48.
On the right, if you're a Juicy fan , this will be right up your street. Love the ghetto fab cuban links. www.nordstrom.com $55.
STYLISHLY SPARKLY
At a dinner do recently one of the women had this delicate diamante headband in her hair, looked fabulous with her LBD. Ficcare Swarovski crystal headband $60 at www.nordstrom.com.
On the right the skinny band with the big gems, a little reminiscent of Marc Jacobs, is on sale from $88 now $44 at www.nordstrom.com.
Both these boho luxe headbands are from one of the best accessory designers of boho luxe, Stacey Lapidus. The silk and triple row crystal on the left is $120 and the absolutely fabulous silk & crystal braided headband on the right is $100.
www.staceylapidus.com
WIDE LOAD
The wide variety of headbands are perfect when you need a retouch. On the left, ths embellished black band is from 3.1 Phillip Lim. www.net-a-porter.com
On the right this superwide purple silk headband looks fabulous with your hair worn up.
A think scarf works just as well as a hairband and this leopard print one adds a little spice...www.asos.com
On the right, these wide glitter bands look a little Paris Hilton in candy colours but look uberglam in black. $50 www.staceylapidus.com
The ballerina pink patent leather is from Miu Miu www.net-a-porter.com £55.
On the right, the classic stretchy wide hairband is from Rachel Pally $26.
www.shopbop.com
Bigger, bolder headgear is exactly the type of thing men don't understand so expect a "What the hell is that" kinda reaction more than anything else. But as always, with kahunas of steel, rock on with your bad self.

Simply Beautiful......Maxwell's BACK!
![]()
Holy Moly ladies, hold tight to your seats.
I don't know how I missed this at the time but I didn't watch the BET Awards.
Now like 99% of women across the world, I love Maxwell. Not necessarily him, but his music. That guy is just 100% talent. He had most of us with Urban Hang Suite. An absolute classic album, that has gone platinum at least twice. And it is a must have for anyone that loves their hot buttered sexual chocolate aural satisfaction as smooth as a baby's bum. But in the far more appealing package of a tall, half Haitian half Puerto Rican Musical genius called Maxwell Rivera.
But I digress.
Anyway the 21st century Marvin Gaye, performed at the BET awards this year. (and I catch wind of this 3 MONTHS LATER?!). A supremely fabulous bit of marketing to launch his almost sold out mini tour across America. Tickets are starting at $150 and almost sold out....isn't that something.
At the BET awards this year, there was a big Al green tribute, which again seems to have skipped my attention.
But Maxwell definitely got the longest straw as he did an amazing rendition of Simply Beautiful.
Dude has gotten friendly with some clippers as he's looking all clean cut and grown up and not so emotionally fraught as before. And was that a wedding ring I spotted? AND he's still got some moves. Not old-man-trying-to-be-young dance moves, the I'm-so-indisputably-permanently-hot I don't need to try dance moves.
Now apart from the fact that its Maxwell and this was his first live performance in about 6 years. Simply Beautiful by Al Green is one my most favouritest songs EVER. No joke.
Normally I'd say all these chumps today need to leave the greats like Al Green and Marvin Gaye alone....but S.D.M.F. Maxwell did an amazing job.
Enjoy.

Summer in The Hamptons...
No, not me.
Looks interesting. But truth be told I'm not all that enamored of NY so if I find myself in the Hamptons one day, fine. If I don't, fine.
There are plenty of beautiful, wealthy little coastal spots in America if that's what you're looking for....I spent a day at a teeny tiny one a while ago(and I mean tiny, like a total population of about 1000 people and it only had about 10 shops, 6 restaurants but a beautiful bay).
And the starting price of homes was $1 million. I kid you not. I'm a little obsessed with property so I always check listings in property agents windows to get a more accurate reading of an area. And damn, Tiburon is nice but hmmm....$1 million for a nice house, in the middle of nowhere and in a place that small, you just know everyone will be far too interested in what new car/chopper/yacht Bob and Susan down the road just bought.
Anyway I digress.
We've had the August Bank Holiday in the UK (how was carnival if anyone went?) and we've had Labour Day in America (what's labour day for and what happens?). Which means 3 things in my world.
1. New season clothing
2. Temperatures drop
3. New Season TV.
I'm not TV buff but when I like a show, I like it. And last night I sneakily watched the season premiere of Gossip Girl. (www.sidereel.com...don't say I don't share). Great stuff, story lines a little mature for a bunch of school kids but at the end of the day, they all look my age anyway, and the best bit by far is the wardrobe.
So here we go....(I'll see if I can find details on who the clothes are by and update later).
TV's favourite reformed blonde, Serena Van Der Woodsen looks rather fabulous although a bit pissed off as she stomps down the beach. Her tunic looks like a Yaya one.
Love Blair. Yes she does tend to look a little overstyled but that's the beauty of TV, a shinier, prettier better put together version of real life. I think that's a Kate Spade bag she's carrying.
Serena does beach casual fabulous...which is always the best way.
Love this dress! I see they've got Blair in a lot of green this show. This dress looks like a Milly dress. (Like I said, I'll verify the designers if I can later).
I so want Blair's wardrobe! The leafy print dress looks fab with the red bangle and red and white shoes. And they've gone all out this season making Chuck Bass look like a true dapper don....Love it. Yes its a tad camp, but its TV.
That's definitely a Kate Spade bag Blair's carrying. Not too crazy about these outfits on either one of them but I do like Blair's highlights.
Love the Pinafore style dress on Serena (Rag & Bone?) and that bright cobalt blue Chanel bag is fabulous. And so are the glam glads. And yeah, Nate's got that beach casual look down to a T too.
And they all attend the Labour Day highlight, the White Party.
Holy Moly this is a fabulous shot. Very Great Gatsby which I'm sure is exactly what they were looking for. This is quite possibly one of the best dresses I've seen in a long time. Marc Jacobs....and I'm usually not a fan. Love it. And I love her little hairpiece too. And just get a load of Chuck! If he wasn't such a raging bull of teenage hormones....he'd totally be gay.
Such a hot dress it gets two pictures. If I was going to wear it, I think I'd take that bow off the front...a little too cutesy even for me.
LOVE the Grecian goddess look on Serena. The hair looks impossible but I love it and the dress is a more relaxed, laid back boho alternative to Blair's. I think we can see that Blair and Chuck are the superstylised overdone pair while Nate and Serena have that laid back moneyed look down to perfection.
Little Jenny Humphrey not to be outdone looks fabulous in this very Betsey Johnson style prom dress.
And Tinsley Mortimer (looking like she's had a shocking amount of 'work' done) makes a cameo appearance which is quite brave of her. in the last season, Blair made some reference to 'being about as reliable as Tinsley Mortimer after one martini too many'...ouch.
And last but not least, an adorable bonfire picture of Dan and Serena...don't you just love the fact they're a couple in real life too.
So far, Gossip Girl is the only show I'm happy to see is back on. The new 90210 looks like crap....and I can't say I've noticed anything else on the horizon....what are your favourite new shows? For the story lines and/or the fashion?
